| STUDENT PROJECT- TEASERY BRANDING |
| As part of my corporate
identity seminar, I had to create a brand, develop an original name, the
identity system and visual language, the store's interior, brochures
and packaging for the products sold there.
I developed Teasery, a shop and café that is to tea what Starbucks is to coffee and then some. The tagline is 'exotic teas & herbal fantasies' leading us beyond selling only tea. The shop also sold a variety of herbal remedies and aromatherapeutic items as well as a huge selection of imported teas. In addition it carries a selection of tea-drinking accessories and a book section. I created a funky type texture that, in the Industrial typeface, hearkened back to the design of the late fifties and early sixties. I wanted it to have a certain sassiness which the name and typography evoke. I created a color-coded labeling system to make flavor identification easier for the consumer. The system crossed over from drinks and loose teas to single serving tea bags and multi-pack cartons. |
