| In addition to design, I worked on a number of photographic and illustrative pieces, this being one of the latter. This accompanied a short story entitled 'The Haircut' in which a woman visits her estranged husband for the first time in months, looking at him in the airport, she comes to the realization that he has been with someone else. It oocurs to her that no one but the women he was with have ever cut his hair, and it was freshly cut. I took a slightly different interpretation of this haircutting motif: it was time for her to get him out of her hair...as it has been said that women will change their hairstyle to accompany a major life change. |
