After I graduated, I moved almost immediately to New York.
The stars were very much in my eyes. I dreamed of Pentagram and Duffy.
While most of my graduating class stayed in Pennsylvania,
ending up in Philadelphia or Harrisburg, I decided that while the
chance to leave was there I should take it. I started work at Lukasiewicz
and the rest is basically history. Living in Jersey, facing the despairing
city in the aftermath of 9-11 and the fact that I was working on more
production projects and less design in the end of my second year of
work all contributed to my decision to leave. Now I look forward
to a change of scenery....

While doing my research, I compiled a list of links to some of the
finest design studios in Phildelphia, Boston and Chicago.

To help my fellow designers, unemployed or painfully stranded,
I put together a page of links to job finding sites for creatives + other design resources.

I have succumbed to the urge to write a little something about my other loves.
While I devote most of my time these days to design research, reading design annuals
& magazines and surfing studio's web sites, I have a few other interests.
If you are about to groan or feel a bit ill, back home with you.
Consider it a list of creative influences...

what is on my bookshelf... michael ondaatje, pauline melville,
jeanette winterson, nick hornby, josé saramago, michael cunningham,
amy bloom, jonathan franzen, gabriel garcia marquez, michael chabon

what is laying next to my tv...

the wings of the dove (anything with helena bonham carter), the royal tenenbaums, northfork, angels & insects,
quills, lock stock and two smoking barrels.

what is playing in the background...broken social scene, dj shadow, the strokes, radiohead, air, belle + sebastian,
the shins, stereolab, coldplay, elliott smith, cinematic orchestra, moby, the chemical brothers,
roxy music, interpol, the kings of convenience, goldfrapp, david bowie (70s, that is), jeff buckley, modest mouse,
